Jobs For 13 Year Olds – Great Job Ideas That Any 13-Year-Old Can Do and Make Great Money With

You are now 13 years old and this is your first year being a teenager and it feels great because you are now being given a lot more freedom by your parents and permission to go to places like the mall by yourself or with your friends without parental supervision, but with greater freedom also comes greater responsibility and you would also like to prove that you are on your way to becoming a responsible adult and one of those ways is to prove that you can make money on your own.

The only problem here is that most companies and workplaces do not hire 13-year-olds. The reasons could be legal or they don’t have any jobs which a 13-year-old can do. Do not worry too much as I will show you a few ways that you can work around this problem and find some good ways to make consistent money .

If you are looking for a job that will always be there and you can make consistent money and I would suggest getting a paper route job. The best part of a paper route is that you only work a few hours a day and get paid pretty well for it and when you are done working you are still able to have a good breakfast and have enough time to get to school. Don’t worry about resting because you can do that after the school day is done.

The only negative here about working in a newspaper route is that you have to get up at around five o’clock in the morning each day. Most young teenagers do not like the idea of doing this for many reasons but, but if you are willing to give up your early morning hours you will be making some pretty good money here.

The pay here is excellent for a 13-year-old as you will probably be making between $500 and $700 a month and if you can somehow convince one of your parents to drive you on your route you can cover many more houses and can probably make at least $1000 or more a month. Most 13-year-olds will never even see that kind of monthly pay but you can make that possible by applying for this job.

If you are looking for more flexible hours as a young teenager and I would suggest some odd job such as opening a lemonade stand. Making lemonade is very easy and it is almost all profit as you will only have to pay for sugar and the lemons. If you have a lemon tree in your house as I do then you are basically only paying only for sugar and your time. A glass of lemonade would cost only a few pennies to you and you can charge up to a dollar per glass.

Another good job for you would be babysitting. If you are responsible 13-year-old then you can make some pretty good money by being the local neighborhood babysitter who will come over and watch over your neighbor’s kids while they are out at work or having a night out on the town. The best part of this job other than the pay (which is around $7 to $13 depending on the neighborhood in which you live) is that you can usually watch TV with the kids while they are awake or asleep. It’s a very laid back job and the only thing you need to focus on doing is making sure that you are within eyesight range of the kids that you are taking care of. It is a great part-time job which is flexible enough to also allow you the time off to hang out with your friends or do schoolwork.

Now be sure before applying for any job that you and your parents can check your state’s job law requires. Some states here might actually need you to have a job permit so do your homework before deciding to venture out and apply for a job.
