How The Employers Look at Online Degree?

Let's face it. It's a tough time to be looking for a job. The American economy has been growing for a long time, but is now taking a pause and will probably shrink for a period of time. None of us know how long the tough times will last, but we do know the effects on jobs have not been good so far. Our economy lost 159,000 jobs during September, and has lost 760,000 jobs during 2008. 9.5 million people are now considered unemployed by the government, meaning that they are seeking work, but unable to find it. The unemployment rate has increased to 6.1%, which is high compared to recent years. Here in Charlotte, NC unemployment has increased to over 7%, and we're losing jobs in our highest paying sector -- banking.

In spite of the bad news, I believe in positive thinking...with a touch of realism. We're not guaranteed that "everything is going to work out". Hope is not a strategy. But, I do believe that by seeking to understand the world around us, setting goals, planning carefully, and working hard, we can increase our chances for a better future. If you are out of work right now and looking for a job, this applies to you. There are fewer open jobs today and more competition for them, but by following these three steps you can increase your chances of finding the job you are seeking even in this tough economy:

Follow these steps and you will differentiate yourself from the millions of other job seekers and increase your chances of finding a job in a tough economy.

The online version of the larger newspapers will also list all the jobs advertised in the print edition and possibly other jobs as well. One of the advantages of looking online is that you can see the advertisements for the entire week, which is useful if you missed the day jobs relevant to your career are published. In fact, jobs can remain online until the closing date for applications, which gives you more chance of spotting the best ones.
There are plenty of different sites which exist solely to advertise jobs, and some of these focus on local areas, while others are cover national or international openings. All of this should be easy to do online.

5 Unique Careers for Unique People

Many people are always constantly on the move, relocating to other towns, cities or states. Very often when this happens we lose contact with people and don't know how locate them. Find out how you can do so using some of the information in the following paragraphs.

How to find people that moved? The first place to start would be the last known address of the person that has moved. We all know that when people move they do continue getting mail at their last address. This mail has to get forwarded to the new address somehow. You can find out from the new owners or tenant if the person left a forwarding address or contact number.

Find out from the person's previous place of employment. Maybe the person you are looking for was transferred within the same organization; meaning you can still contact them. If the person has changed companies entirely there must be at least one person from their previous place of employment that knows where this person is. These are just some of the ideas you can try on how to find people that moved.

Another thing that you can do is place an ad in a national paper. If not in a national paper then at least one that is widely read. You can ask the person to contact you or anyone with information about where this person maybe to contact you. This is one of the best ways of how to find people that moved. Unless of course you want to remain anonymous during your search, in which case you will have to try other ideas.

Okay, so you’re the type of person who shudders at the thought of working behind a desk in a traditional job. You want something fun. Something different. Something unique. The trouble is, you’re not sure what that is. You know what you like to do. But, you can’t get paid to do something you like to do. Right? Actually, you can, if you just think a little outside the box and think creatively.
The truth is, there are interesting ways to make money and do the things you like. Think of all the dog-lovers out there who have their own dog walking and dog sitting services. They get to make money and be around their passion – dogs. (Okay, go figure, I’m a cat person.)
Here then is just a sampling of 5 unique careers for unique people:
1. Hypnotist
Okay, I’m a little partial to this one as I happen to be a certified hypnotist. You can learn to hypnotize people and help them achieve their goals. Maybe you’re into metaphysical things, or, you just love helping people. Maybe you have found yourself to be good at persuasion. A career as a hypnotist or hypnotherapist could be right up your alley. And, if you’re a bit of an entertainer, you could also learn stage hypnosis.
How long does it take to learn how to be a hypnotist? My training at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in California took a year, which included classes on hypnosis, counseling techniques, therapeutic hypnosis techniques, and the business aspects of setting up a hypnosis practice. You can learn how to actually hypnotize people in a weekend seminar, but, if you’re planning on a career using hypnosis for pain control, motivation, weight loss, etc., then I do recommend a longer program which will prepare you to effectively use hypnosis for different issues. A school which has a mentoring or practicum is good as well. Be sure to look into any regulations or restrictions your state might have on hypnotists.
2. A Personal Concierge
Are you the type of person who loves to tend to details? Can you book the best rooms, the lowest airfares, get the best seats at all the shows? Put your talents to good as a personal concierge. While there is no formal definition of personal concierge, this profession is a booming business. Why? Because today’s fast-paced lifestyle hardly leaves hardly any room for busy professionals nowadays to sort out their bills, schedule their activities (both personal and business), or book their vacations. As a personal concierge, you might also be expected to stand in lines, organize closets and drawers and do personal gift shopping. That’s right, you can actually get paid to shop till you drop.
How do you get started as a personal concierge? There are, of course, companies which may hire you, but you can always start your own personal concierge business. Start out small (stand in lines, grocery shopping, small errands) and pretty soon you can build your reputation for more challenging assignments. As long as there are busy executives, you will have business.
3. Make Scrapbooks for Other People
Is scrapbooking your thing? Make money at it by making scrapbooks for other people. A personalized scrapbook is a great gift idea for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, etc. The thing is, while scrapbooking is a popular hobby, some people just don’t have the time or, let’s face it, the talent to put together a great scrapbook to be given as a gift. That’s where you come in. With a website or blog as a marketing tool, you can begin to acquire clients and build your business.
4. Become a Woodworker
You read correctly. Become a woodworker. In these times of mass-produced furnishings, a piece of handcrafted woodwork can fetch a good price. People want quality and they don’t mind paying for it. In addition, home renovation is in vogue, making a skilled carpenter or woodworker in demand. It’s vital to become educated in the techniques and tools of a woodworker. Luckily, many community colleges and universities have programs in woodworking and carpentry.
The most common type of woodworking is carpentry. It has never faded into our everyday scenarios simply because it is highly versatile. A carpenter can always build a house, repair a shed, or renovate a dilapidated building. Either way, he or she can earn while being creative.
5. Video Game Tester
You spend all your free time playing video games, why not play and get paid for it? As a game tester it’s your job to play the games and look for things that don’t make sense. You verify functionality, performance, and “playability” of the game. Usually experience with video games and a high school diploma or college degree is all that’s required. But, if you wish to climb the ladder in the video game business and eventually become a video game programmer, a degree in computer science is essential. If you’re in school getting your degree in computer science, testing video games is a great job to have while attending school.
There are so many more unique jobs out there which match to interests. And, if they don’t exist yet, create them! The point is to do what you love and are good at. If you need extra training, there are many colleges, both online and in your community, which can help you attain your goals.

The purpose of the resume and cover letter is to make the job search process quicker and easier. In order to make your job search much easier and increase your chances of securing your dream job, you have to think of the resume as a marketing tool and you are the product that is being sold.

The following are a number of tips to help ease your job search process using resumes and cover letters:

1. Statistics have shown that the likelihood of acquiring employment through a job ad is 1 out of 20, and the chances of acquiring employment through networking are 1 out of 4. These statistics will help you narrow your job search by submitting your resume and cover letter to the most appropriate potential employers. Check with people you know such as family, colleagues (current and former), professors, managers...etc for leads on job openings. As well, review your qualifications and experiences, education, and skills, to see what types of jobs you are suitable for. Identify the most important employers in your area and contact their human resource departments to find out how and where to apply for job openings. As well, contact local government departments and agencies to find out where they list their job openings. Once you have narrowed your search, you can then work on your resume and cover letter.

2. Cover letters are an essential element of getting a job interview and they make your resume stand out from your competition. Always send out a cover letter with your resume, as it will be the difference between getting a job interview, or throwing your resume in the waste can. A cover letter should not be a duplicate of your resume, but a complement to it. The purpose is to add a personal touch to your resume and give the employer a sense of who you are and what position you are seeking. It is the first written contact with the employer so you must make a good impression and catch the employer's eye. It should state the position that you are applying for, the reasons why you want the job, and highlight the most important skills that would make you a valuable asset to the company. It shows that you understand the position, and have the knowledge and experience in that type of work. The cover letter should summarize why you are the ideal candidate for the position. It should be one page with a minimum of three paragraphs.

3. Your resume must be professional and easy to read. It should also be interesting with no long sentences. Important skills, achievements, and experiences that are relevant to the job must be noted. It must not be overly detailed as you will give more explanations during the interview. You should write effective and eye catching statements. As well, your descriptions should be clear and interesting. For resumes that are scanned by companies and entered into a database, make sure your resume has relevant keywords which will bring up the resume in a search.

Because of increased competition and minimal job openings, acquiring a job is now a step-by-step process. You can ease the job search process by knowing what jobs you are suited for and creating a resume and cover letter that targets these jobs.

There are many ways of earning money. Most people go to work doing a nine to five job and getting paid for it. The coming of the computer age has allowed some people to work from the homes which have also been productive. If work can be done at home, can the same thing happen for someone who wants to do it from joining online casinos?
Gambling and working are two different things. In casinos, there is always the element of chance. The player may make some money in a few hands and may also lose a few. The person may get lucky in a few days but to earn a living from it is totally out of the question.
Not all online gaming sites are the same. Some work in favor of the player while some are in favor of the establishment. Even if a player is able to find a reputable site to frequently play in, the hands may also do well for the other players.
There is another way to make money from the web. That does not involve shelling out money or betting in the games. It can be done by being an affiliate. An affiliate is someone who earns a certain percentage of money for working on an online gambling site.
This is very similar to a lot of electronic business sites wherein a person will get some money for every product that is purchased. The affiliate in the case of online casinos does not have to make any marketing material since this has already been provided by the online site. This works differently depending on the type of program used by the online casino but just like e-business, money is made from each player who logs in.
This can be done by first making a portal website. If the person knows how to do this then there is no problem. Should the person have no idea where to start, then asking the assistance of a professional can help. It is also possible to download a template from the internet for free which can be used as a startup.
After this has been established, then it is time to look for a reputable casino to tie up with. The person should feel comfortable in dealing with these people who can also be contacted anytime if there are any problems. Once an agreement has been reached, money can be made from every referral that is brought in.
Anyone can become an affiliate and the nice thing about it is the person does not have to shell out any money. This is because the online gambling site and has done most of the work and the only thing that needs to be done is to promote it for increased traffic. This partnership is a win-win situation for both parties since this means that revenue is coming in.
There are so many casino affiliate programs to choose from. Before selecting one, it is best to check what the benefits are. Once it has been selected then finding a good online casino site to partner with is the next phase. The person has to be careful where to invest. Some of these online sites are not reputable and are just there to steal money from people.

Online Training Opportunities in the Mental Health Industry

Just as in the UK and most European countries, taking on staff in Spain means a sharp increase in the amount of risk and bureaucracy involved in the business. In general Spain has lower wages but more bureaucracy and non-wage costs. The risks and costs must be understood and minimised prior to taking on staff to avoid nasty surprises and burdens which can threaten the success of the whole enterprise. This article looks at the main features of employment law and hiring staff in Spain and discusses some of the ways of mitigating the risks.

Employment law - the basics

o Employees must have employment contracts from their first day of employment. If you are using British expat staff they should have their NIE and residency documents (for advice on how to get a NIE number see below)

o Minimum wages and employment conditions such as disciplinary procedures and holiday entitlement are set by "Convenios Colectivos" in different sectors and regions e.g. hotel and catering trade works in Malaga province.

o There are a variety of contract types but essentially the choice is between offering a fixed term contract or a permanent contract. Contracts can also be tiempo completo (full time being usually 40 hours) or parcial (part time). In the latter case wages are scaled down according to a weekly number of hours stated in the contract. There are some special contracts with government tax incentives to take on for example unemployed workers or women in sectors where they are underrepresented.

o Redundancy pay is payable once an employee has served a year and can be up to 3 ½ year's salary (it goes up 45 days a year served, although this can be less on the incentivised contracts).

o Expect to pay approximately 40% of the basic wage in non-wage costs, mainly being employer's social security contributions which are very high in Spain though some incentivised contracts reduce this cost by up to 75%.

o The employer is responsible for deducting employee national insurance contributions (approximately 6% of pay) and income tax, similar to UK PAYE, from the monthly wage or "nomina". A full analysis of the employee's wages and deductions for the month must be presented to them and a signed copy kept by the employer.

o Other employee rights: normally 23 days a year holiday entitlement plus national and local fiestas (depends on the Convenio as employees in certain sectors expect to work holidays but are compensated elsewhere). The employee can chose to have pay spread over 14 instead of 12 times a year with additional pay days in July and December. Maternity leave is 4 months and there is other time off built in for marriage, deaths, births and moving house. Sick pay is usually paid by the social security system.

Employing staff - the risks

Breaking the law

As a foreigner setting up a business in Spain it is important to understand the rules and regulations governing employment and attempt to stay within them. Falling foul of the law can lead to heavy fines and the authorities are strict because they know abuse is widespread. For example if you have an uncontracted worker helping you out during an unscheduled visit from government inspectors do not expect to be able to use an excuse even if the "helper" is a spouse.

Under-appreciating employee rights

As we have seen the main effect of the heavy regulatory framework, the tax laws and the Covenios is to protect and promote the rights of the employee. It is the employer that pays the price for this, perhaps not in terms of basic wages which are still lower than in many European countries, but in terms of non-wage costs and employee rights to severance pay and other benefits. Possibly the biggest risk to a small business is taking on staff on the basis of a headline wage and not appreciating the additional burdens of being a Spanish employer, particularly when offering full time permanent contracts.

Cashflow and profitability implications

If you fail to understand and then budget for paying all associated employment costs at the right time, there is a real danger of cashflow difficulties or profits being eroded. Salaries are paid monthly in arrears and national insurance a month later. Income tax withheld from employees is payable at the end of each quarter which can be a nasty shock for the uninitiated. As has been mentioned severance pay can be substantial.

Risk mitigation: smart staffing

The most important thing to do is to think before you take on potentially expensive commitments and take professional advice. Many firms including mine will give new businesses some free advice before they begin operating and offer comprehensive payroll and employment services when they do.

Many businesses in Spain avoid some of the costs and burdens of employment law by going "black" and paying workers cash in hand. This is of course risky as it is fairly easily detected by government agencies particularly if the "employee" has no contract whatsoever. If an employer gives a part time contract to staff actually working full-time and then tops up the wages in cash this is harder to detect but still carries a risk.

A smarter approach is to take advice on the different contracts available and match the commitments you are making to staff with how definite you are about future income levels. Use can be made of temporary contracts or those that attract government subsidy. Another option is to make some of your "employees" actually self-employed, where they register independently for social security and tax but work solely for your business. For details see of social security implications see:

This article is part four of a series of five exploring unique and noteworthy trends in the mental health profession. The article focuses on Web Seminars and Online Training trends that are penetrating the mental health marketplace. The purpose for examining all of these trends is to note business opportunities and competitive influences within the industry.
Looking for ways to share your expertise and promote your services beyond traditional training opportunities? E-learning is fast becoming a powerful medium for building credibility and expanding one’s reach at a national and international level. Online learning has also become an important vehicle for employee assistance programs and other practitioners who are seeking a presence within the corporate world. It allows you the ability to offer significant value to employees and managers using a platform they are familiar and comfortable using.
You can post your coursework with any existing training platform or simply create your own personal online training platform. I have seen business savvy clinicians use this form of training as an extension of clinical services they offer other practitioners and potential clients. How can you possibly do this without paying a pretty penny? Easy! In today’s world there are several free open source learning management systems available to you. These systems allow you to quickly and easily create your own e-learning courses and programs. If you would like to find out what those platforms are I suggest searching under “free open source e-learning platforms” and you will find what you need.
Professional associations have also gotten into the e-learning game and offer numerous courses for members. Take a look at the American Counseling Association website and you will see a series of online offerings for their members. Posting a course on a national association website is another powerful way to expand your reach and build credibility within the profession.
At present, Oprah Winfrey is offering a free 10-week web seminar with spiritual guru and author Eckhart Tolle. The webinar is being held every Monday 9 EST for 10 weeks. What is important to note about this hallmark event, whether you are an Oprah fan or not, is the fact that together they are delivering an interactive educational program on a global scale. Participants enter a virtual learning environment where they can access workbooks and course material, post questions and view real time discussions and presentations by Eckhart Tolle. Not impressed so far? How about the fact that they have over 700,000 participants each week from 139 different countries!
This single event demonstrates the power of web seminars and is introducing a mass audience to this technology. No longer is it simply a tool for facilitating virtual business meetings. It has become an effective vehicle to communicate a message, to build awareness and buy in about a particular topic and to offer an interactive educational experience.
Web Seminars, as part of the rising social nature of the web, will become more and more prominent in our near future. Larger behavioral healthcare organizations and practitioners alike will want to keep an eye on this model and think about how it might be useful in the mental health profession.
The information provided in these articles should offer practitioners some insight into what may lie ahead in the future as both a challenge and opportunity. Online training and web seminars are two trends worth exploring further.

In the past, it is more difficult for an older man to meet a younger woman. And some people will be very reluctant to accept such kind of relationship. However, with the advance of internet technology, it is a lot easier for an older man to meet a younger woman. There are a lot of dating sites on the web. And people are actively seeking “another half” from these sites.
As a matter of fact, an older man will probably be feeling more energetic when he meets a younger woman. He will certainly perform very well at the very beginning when the intimate relationship is concerned. However, when time goes by, it will be more difficult for them to perform as well. As a result, it is very important to seek for the best sex positions.
We have to face the fact that the body of us will change when we become older. We will not be performing as what we can do when we were still twenty years old. The point here is that, exploring the best sex relationship can help you to satisfy your younger lady well. At the end of the day it is not very difficult for you to start exploring for that.
It is also very true that foreplay is very important when sexual life is concerned. The fact here is that an older man may take longer time in order to be fully aroused. This can actually be an advantage. You will be spending more time on the foreplay and this will also help to arouse your partner a lot better and easier. And this will also help a lot when you are searching for the best sex positions for you and your younger partner.
Besides, an older man may be more experienced in terms of intimate relationship and he may understand the anatomy of women more than younger men. This can be another advantage. Because you understand more about the anatomy of your lady, it will be easier for you to explore the best sex positions with her. Yet, you will still need to remember ladies are usually more emotional than males.
The intimate relationship between an older man and a younger woman can be very perfect. The point here is that you will need to take time to explore the best sex positions. And you should also communicate with your partner well. With your rich experience, you should be able to have a perfect sexual life with your partner!

Work on the Internet – Legit Online Jobs Reviewed

So you've spotted the specific job you want. Next step would be filling up an application form that usually causes a lot of us to blank out at the sight of it. Fret not if this often happens to you. These tips below will definitely help you a great deal!

If you have one, write it in this blank. If not, you have to find out how to get one.

These two addresses would be the same if you intend to live at home while you are working. However, if you are living at a private high school or college at this time when you are working, put your school address for present address and your home address for permanent address.

State "minimum wage" unless you know that your experience and skills warrant more pay. In other words, put down the amount you feel that you deserve.

Write "No" if you are currently employed and do not wish to let your boss know that you are looking elsewhere for a job. If it's okay, put "yes."

There's no need for you to put anything under this heading for grammar school. You just have to mention a few classes that you have attended in high school and college that are relevant to the job that you are currently applying for.

You don't have to state your GPA for grammar school. Instead, put it down for high school and college, even if it's not a 4.0.

This is a great section as you can write down any of your extracurricular activities that support your job objectives.

This is definitely a good chance for you to talk about any non-school classes that you've taken before. Make sure that you only write those that will make you qualify for the job.

Here's another opportunity to show your employer that you are ready for this job. Write down any volunteer, sport and other activities you do that is relevant to this job.

This is pretty easy and straightforward. If you have never had a paid job before, leave this section blank. If not, fill this space even if you are employed for odd jobs.

State how much you are paid per hour for your previous jobs.

If you left your job on good terms, say either "End of summer vacation," "End of assignment," or "Wanted to broaden my experience with another job." However, if you were fired from your previous job, frame it in a positive light and explain what happened. Some good words would be, "Not a good fit," "Agreed to move on," and "Left by mutual agreement." Don't ever use words like "Hated my boss," or "Got fired."

Dexterity Testing

You have a job, or many jobs, to do during your lifetime. You Life's Work will include making use of the spiritual gifts given to you, which you will then turn around and share with others.

Your Life's Work can consist of one job, or many, but the truth is, it doesn't really matter what kind of work you do, as long as you are making use of your spiritual gifts.

On the day you were born you brought with you a Soul which was richly laden with specific skills, talents & interests. These gifts were like an insurance policy, enabling you to make your way into the business world, while at the same time making a meaningful contribution to the world, or at least to your neighborhood.

If you are someone who believes you just can't find the right job, or that you're not skilled enough to find anything, don't give up. I guarantee, with help, you can identify your gifts and begin finding work that you love.

I'm going to let you in on the biggest secret you will ever need to know about finding a career.

... at least until you have evaluated your God-given gifts. You can then structure a job search that has meaning and purpose for you.

Too many of us have gone after jobs for the money, the prestige or family pressure. The big secret is, we've been going at it backwards.

Your first priority is to recognize your gifts and then go look for the career that fits you. The reason you have been unable to find truly satisfying work is because you've been looking at the job first, rather than yourself.

Your gifts are guaranteed to propel you into your Life's Work.

Here's how to find your spiritual gifts.

All three of the above findings are your spiritual gifts.

So, what do you do with them? Find a career that blends with your personality.

Let's look at an example. Suppose your favorite three gifts are:

Which career would best fit your personality, a real estate agent or an economic analyst?

The answer is a real estate agent because a person with this type of personality would feel boxed in and lifeless in a career as a quiet & studious economic analyst. Imagine what this job would do to his or her interest in getting outdoors. Imagine how unfulfilling a quiet back room in a windowless office would be to someone whose major value is socializing. Yes, his or her math skill would be perfectly utilized, but the other spiritual gifts would go unmet.

There are people perfectly suited to the position of economic analyst, but they would likely have values which include a quiet work space in a clean office. This is why it is so important that you match your God-given personality to the business where you will be spending most of your waking hours.

At the end of your review, ask yourself, "Am I better off working for someone else, or should I start that home-based business I've always dreamed of?"

Dexterity evaluation products examine a person’s motor skills with regards to the fingers, hands, and arms. Various exams exists to measure such performance abilities as eye-hand coordination, quickness at performing assembly tasks, and overall motor skill development. Dexterity exams are used in assessing progress when doing physical and occupational rehabilitation, screening applicants for necessary job skills, and evaluating the extent of an injury or other disability.
Most screening programs for dexterity naturally involve the use of some combination of fingers on both hands to follow some designated evaluation procedure, such as placing pegs into a pegboard. Some dexterity exams check for the subject’s ability to use not only the hands, but also test arms and shoulders more extensively as well.
A few standard testing procedures have established the accepted norms for measuring dexterity. They include the Purdue Pegboard Test, the Minnesota Dexterity Test, the O’Connor Fingers and Tweezers Tests, and the Roeder Manipulative Aptitude Test. In addition to these tests, others tests exist which measure coordination skills related to specific job functions.
The Purdue Pegboard was developed by an industrial psychologist at Purdue University to examine the capability of applicants to perform industrial jobs. This test provides a few different testing setups and procedures, and can be adapted to specific testing needs. Tests performed using the Purdue Pegboard Test setup include removing pins from a tray and placing them into a pegboard. Another part of the Purdue Test involves assembling a combination of pins, washers, and collars. Testing is usually timed for both of these test setups so that the results show both the quickness and accuracy of the subject in performing the dexterity tasks.
This test has two versions, the Minnesota Manual Dexterity Test (MMDT) and the Complete Minnesota Dexterity Test (CMDT). Both tests measure eye-hand coordination. The tests involve having test subjects perform dexterity movements using disks. The CMDT includes five different tests in the entire test battery, which makes it more accommodating to testing a wider spectrum of dexterity metrics.
The O’Connor tests are used for testing more precise movements of the fingers. The finger test requires the subject to place pins in holes, a setup similar to the Purdue Pegboard Test. The O’Connor Tweezers Test requires the testee to use a pair of tweezers to perform the pin placement. The O’Connor bare generally used to determine the aptitude of someone being considered for an assembly job such as sewing.
This test assesses a person’s ability to assemble and sort objects. The apparatus includes a performance board, rods with threaded ends, along with nuts, washers, and caps. The rods can be screwed into sockets on a performance board. Testing involves various sorting sequences as well as assembly testing. Subjects are timed as they perform sequences of sorting and assembly the rods, washers, caps, and nuts on the performance board. The Roeder setup can be used for a range of skills assessment.
Other tests have been invented to check a person’s skills for a particular test or to understand progress made by rehabilitation. A hand tool dexterity test exists to examine a subject’s proficiency with mechanical tools, such as wrenches, and screwdrivers. There are other tests available that allow applicant screening and rehabilitation professionals to measure people’s ability to function in many different capacities. Wherever there is a widespread to evaluate someone’s performance with regard to a job function, there is likely a dexterity test available.
Although the various dexterity tests are somewhat extensible and can be used for many particular assessment needs, it is strongly suggested that the testing be correlated with the job function or skill for which the evaluation is intended. Otherwise, the results are meaningless.
The examples described above have become widely accepted because they use well-defined, systematic procedures. The core focus of dexterity testing is to normalize the results to understand what level of performance should be expected of a subject, allowing the evaluation to rate an outcome and compare it to a standard.

Many people are choosing telecommuting as an option to bring in an income while being at home. Whatever the reasons that we choose to work at home, the one thing we all have in common is the problem of locating legitimate jobs online. We often come online with the idea that finding a job online will be easy.

Unfortunately it’s not usually that easy. What you will often run into are the scams for working at home. Why is that though? We often find the job search websites and plug in two common keywords. These two keywords are often the reason many of us give up on finding a legitimate job because all that pulls up are the scams.

The keywords I’m speaking of are:

•Work at home

•Work from home

--> With the keywords “work at home,” you’re almost 100% guaranteed to pull up scams or business opportunities, and not the legitimate jobs. Now don’t get me wrong, there can be legit jobs in these keywords. Iit takes much longer to find them, and it’s much harder to locate them. In my 4 plus years of working at home, I’ve discovered lesser used keywords that yield me much better results.

Popular Keywords:

--> These three keywords are second to “work at home” in their popularity. A pro of these keywords is that many leads will be listed with them. I find legitimate job leads using these keywords every time I search with them. I also find the scams, but overall these keywords are great to use with your job search.

7 More Keywords to Use

•Must have home office

•IC or independent contractor

•Virtual office and virtual

•Remote contractor

--> Next on the list are these 7 keywords. Next to telecommuting, these are my favorite. Often they will pull up legitimate jobs. You won’t always find a good variety of leads all the time. Sometimes the deeper you dig, the better the jobs and the better your chance that hundreds of other people haven’t found that same job.

Last 3 Keywords to Try

•Must have DSL

•Home-based employee

--> Last, I use these 3 keywords when finishing up my job search. I don’t always find leads with these keywords on every job search site I go to, but the more job search sites you go to, the better your chance you’ll find leads with all these keywords. You can find a list of over 25 job search sites at []

Basically, the more keywords you use and the more job sites you go to, the better your chance at locating legitimate job leads. Even if it takes you a few hours a week to do your searching, with all the keywords and job search sites, it’s worth it in the end if you land a job!

Another thing to keep in mind for speeding up the job search is to know what a scam looks like so you can avoid it. I’ve gotten to the point where I can usually just read the title of the “job” and know right away it’s a scam. If I do click in a job lead, within a few seconds I can determine if it’s a scam or sketchy. I wasn’t able to do that when I first started out in the telecommuting field, though. In my time of being scammed and reading others being scammed, I discovered the common scams and the common red flags. Read more about scams, red flags, and links to research scams at []

In closing, I’d like to say that using these keywords is a good start. When you find legitimate jobs, really search through the description and see what keywords they use. When you find a new keyword, jot that down and add it to your keyword list. The more keywords you use, the better your chance of finding and landing a legitimate job!
